To Keep Us Human

Our Purpose

Either there is a search for purpose or we just exist

Rare is the Soul that knows their purpose

We each are given a light that wants to shine brighter

To turn up to see and to go down the path before us

To be the light

Life can seem to limit its shine or even put it out if we let it

The challenge is both to keep it burning

And to make it brighter every day

Until it shines the way for you

Making your purpose clear

Once found do not limit its shine but see all it reveals

Let your heart give you direction

Walk at first then run to it

For the light will continue to shine brighter to lead you

Get dimmer if ignored

Do not hide your light

Be not afraid to find and follow the light within you

Tell Me What a Man Is

What he feels deep inside hidden from most

What he sees with unrevealing eyes

What love he can give without reserve.

Tell me what a man is

When he seeks to right the wrong

To care for the weak

To share what he has

Speak of what is deep within

The cry when tears need to f low

The scream when all are silent

Tell me what a man is

Holding a child’s hand

Holding the hand of who he loves

Being silly for the fun of it

Tell me what a man is

In his humanity

In his pain

In his joy

Speak of his spirit

Speak of his heart

Speak of what is not seen

Speak of what you feel for him

Tell me what a man is

Tell me what a man is
