FIND ME IN MY WORK

I believe as artists and poets we have a responsibility to use our talent to create original works of art and words to capture and to communicate the emotions, the struggles, the challenges, and the reality of our humanity in order to motivate all of us to think about it, speak about it, understand it, and to make our world better for all. Therefore, I do not engage in limiting my work to recapturing with a brush what a photograph has done better or to using words already beaten bare of meaning.

To balance my activism, I also create works to reflect the other parts of me that gives shape to who I am. These works, like those found in my "Kitchen Art" collection, reveal my fun, whimsical, playful self. Other works like those in my "Women of the Four Seasons" collection speak to my love of fashion and its connection to the personality of women. Enjoy your visit to my site as you discover me through my art and my poetry that I often join together with my paintings.  Please explore each work the captures your interest by clicking "more info" at bottom of a selected work.  Enjoy your journey.

My art is collected nationally, I have won awards and participated in juried exhibitions locally, nationally and online nationally and internationally.
