Preparing for The Storm

Sailing Ships were meant to travel the open water to survive the storms that were inevitable. When storms approach, ships do better on the high seas then in port. How each ship survives depends on how well she was built, the knowledge and experience of the captain, and a well-trained crew working together to do what is needed to survive the storm. Without its sails it is at mercy of waves and winds.

Just as the human is meant to prepare for the storms of life by doing what each is equipped to do. use their intelligence and experience to ride out the storms and survive.

Ship of ancient sails

Prepare for the storm ahead

Fill the sails with good wind

Steer true the angry waves

Secure the hatches

Secure what is not

Order the crew to the ready

Alert and steady as she goes

Years at sea

Many a storm fought

Each storm different

Ship now ready to meet its challenge
