Love-life of any marriage or life commitment is depicted by this vessel on which I painted my poem, "May Your Marriage Be Strong"

My narrative for this painting: May your marriage/relationship be like two trees growing side by side, developing strong intertwining roots that support it. May your branches reach out in support of each other, not smothering but giving shade and protection from storm clouds and winds, allowing the sun to warm.

The leaves are love in its many forms, transitioning as they grow in intensity and form. Green leaves, the color of ordinary, have shades and shapes because love has shades, intensity and shapes. Pink and blue leaves represent gender labels of male and female, while the rainbow leaves remind that love is not binary nor chosen by will, but free to find its own home.

With growth, the roots strengthen; when marriage tips or falters, roots have strength to keep it from falling and breaking. Strong roots extend beyond the now into eternity, with the branches reaching out to the spiritual beyond.

The aura around the vessel signifies acceptance of the strength of love matured. The strong light powered by the relationship beams out of the vessel into the welcoming eternity.
